Changing it up

What can I say?  I get bored REALLY easily. I have had my CB2 coffee table for a few years now, and I was kind of ready for something new.  I decided to move my K.R.T. Home Beanbag Coffee table into the space to see if I liked it better.  I was craving something a little more comfy and bohemian. I'm kind of loving it for the time being.  I love that it's washable and I can just kick my feet up on it without worry. I'm sure I'll rotate my CB2 one back in in time.  But for now it's comfy. My pom pom throw makes it even cuter.
Hopefully I'll spend at least part of my weekend relaxing in this room.  What do you have planned?

Floral Wallpaper

Guys! My obsession with having a massive floral wall in my house has gotten worse.  Did you see Emily's powder room reveal?!  I am seriously dying.
If only I could afford to do such a massive wall in this paper.

I could totally work with this lighter one as well.

Pick my pendant

Since I finally showed you guys my new K.R.T. Home office, now I need your help finishing it!  When we bought the house I prewired for a chandelier to go right above the desk. What style should I go for?
Pick my pendant

I want something a little fun and unexpected. What do you like best for the space?

Welcome to K.R.T. Home's office

Well we finally have a place to call home!  It feels so good to have a proper workspace and a place I can bring clients. Although it's far from finished- I'm sure it never will be- I'm pretty happy with how it's coming along.
Vintage Framed Scarves available here

An inspiration board will go on either side of the mirror.

All my favorite books are within an arms reach. Art from By Bun and Fall into London.

Fabric swatches are my favorite.

Oh hey there Lola!

I'm sure this space will be ever changing, but for now I love it.  Can't wait to see where it goes from here.  Check back tomorrow to help me choose the right lighting fixture for the space!

Washi Love

I've wanted to get in on the Washi fun for a while now, so when I saw that Scotch Tape had them at Staples now I bought a roll.  I decided to make a space in my office to hang my favorite thing of the moment. My vintage prom dress is always one of my favorite items to decorate with so for now this is her spot.  But I have a feeling I'll be switching it out all the time.

Check back monday for a full reveal of K.R.T. Home's new office!

Master Bedroom

In my last house my master bedroom never really got done.  It was always less of a priority than the down stairs so by the time we moved we hadn't really touched it.  I am making it a point to show my new master some love this time around. Right now it's a blank canvas, but I have some plans people.  Remember the bed I picked up at a garage sale last year?  Well she'll be the focal point.

Things I need:
New night stands.  (Something vintage)
A Chandlier
An extra large mirror
An extra large Dream Catcher to ensure only the most restful sleep
Curtains and hardware
Extra large artwork for above the bed.

I'm leaning toward this Max Wanger print in a thin silver frame. Unless you have a better idea?  What do you think would look good over my bed?

It's Monday, and people seem to hate them, so hopefully these pretty flowers make it a bit better.  I had told my husband that as much as I love an arrangement from my favorite flower shop, I'd rather have a few bundles of more affordable Trader Joe's flowers so I could spread them through our new house.  So what does the man do?  He heads to my favorite florist and gets me a massive bundle.  Seriously the most gorgeous flowers I have ever received, and had so much fun making all my little arrangements!

How was your weekend?  Did you do anything special?

Lana Del Rey performing 'Video Games' live at Corinthia London

Happy Valentine's Day!! Wishing everyone lots of love today.  Lana Del Ray has been my girl crush as of late- so Video Games is my theme song for this V-day.  If you haven't heard it you're kind of missing out.

Lee Price

As usual, I was browsing Pinterest when I stumbled upon these paintings by Lee Price that I kind of fell in love with.  I'm not sure what it is about them that caught my eye but I'm definitely intrigued by them.  Maybe it's because it looks like the perfect night to me.  Doing two of my favorite things at once!

What do you think? Strange or interesting? Where would you hang a piece like this-- is the bathroom a little too obvious?

Peanut Butter Balls

Lately I had been feeling like my body needed a reboot.  The holidays left me a couple pounds heavier, and I knew once I was settled in my new kitchen something would have to change.  I decided to try 10 days of eating clean- nothing too extreme, just cut out most processed foods and added more veggies and whole foods to my diet. I have to say I am feeling pretty good!  It might be mental but I feel less bloated, my skin is clearing, and I generally feel less tired. The hardest part for me about clean eating is that I'm a sugar fiend.  Everyday has to bring some sort of candy or sweet.  My saving grace?

Peanut Butter Balls!  They taste like such a treat, but only have four simple ingredients and are way better for you than processed cookies or candy.  Best of all?  So simple to make.

1 Cup Oats (uncooked)
1/4 Cup Natural Peanut Butter
3 Tbsp Honey
2 Tbsp Dark Chocolate Chips

Mix all ingredients in a bowl
Chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes- 1 hour
Roll into bite sized balls
Keep chilled until served.

Let me know if you give them a try!

Heart.Love Throwback

In case you haven't heard- Love is in the air.  With V-Day just a few days away I thought it would be fun to dust this little baby off.  If you haven't seen it yet, it's a fun inspiration video shot last year in my old home.

If you missed yesterdays post, check it out to see inside my new home!

Welcome to our new home

Welcome to our new home!  I am so excited to be able to show you the main living space today.  Our house is open concept so the main areas are essentially one big space.  It's so open and airy, I love it! The decor is far from done, but this home is going to take a bit longer to complete this time around because I am really going to take my time in making decisions. So here it is for now.
Lola's get adjusted.  Any tips for calming dogs anxiety in new spaces?
Window treatments are number one on our list of things to do.

Cocktail anyone?
Or how about a little tea?
Notice the giant gap between the tops of the cabinets and our crazy tall ceilings? If you missed this article, read it and let me know what you think I should do up there. Leave it alone or add some decor?  Also, would it be weird to continue the subway tiles all the way to the ceiling?
