Is it crazy that I am seriously contemplating spending over $100 for a garden hose? I never thought I'd describe one as edgy or chic but I'm obsessing over this gold one. I wonder how expensive they are to ship to the US.....

We have stairs!

That lead to a second story. It might not have walls, but it's finally there.
Lola chilling in the hallway.  Don't look over the edge Lola.

One of the funnest things I'll be selling at KRT Home is an assortment of revamped vintage chairs. I've looked high and low for my favorite pieces and had them made over to my liking. Each piece is unique, and something I would love to have in my home.
So much hand carved goodness I can't even handle it. It's going to be oh so hard for me to let this one go.

White linen makes me so happy.

The perfect pair.

I'll call this one the Lola. Because she's so cute and small.

All chairs are now available for pre-order.  If you would like to see more pictures and our price sheet let me know.  Don't forget to look at our other pieces here and here.

Happy Friday everybody! Here's a little something healthy to try this weekend. Since finding out I am anemic I have been on the hunt to add lots of iron and protein into my diet, and if I can do it without meat, even better.

Pineapple Spinach Smoothie:
1 cup ice
2 handfuls of spinach (You can barely taste it, I promise)
1 cup Flax Milk (almond or soy work as well)
1 cup cubed pineapple (Any other fruit works as well.  I like to use berries when I have them)
1 medium bananna
1 scoop Plant Fusion Protein (optional, any other protein powder works as well)

Any other high iron recipes that you guys know about?  What are your weekend plans?

We have walls!!  This has been the most exciting update so far.  It's finally starting to actually feel like a house.  Hopefully we will have a second story in the next week.

A notes for the workers. My bifold door and 4th bedroom and bathroom.
This weekend we attended Rancho Mission Viejo's first community event!
My bestie came along for a picnic in the new park, and s'mores around the community fire. Only a handful of people were there. It's crazy to think that in a few years from now these events will probably be crowded to the max.  That is what is so fun about being part of a new community.  The ability to watch it grow!
So stoked to be able to use this fire pit once we move in!
If you missed yesterdays post, check out some of my favorite items set to hit KRT Home in the coming weeks. Taking pre orders now. Let me know if you would like me to send you our price sheet and dimensions.

Last week I announced that I will soon be launching my own home furnishings and accessories store.  In the weeks leading up to the launch I wanted to give you guys a sneak peek at some of my favorite items.

Hands down one of the things I am most excited about are all of my vintage scarves.  They make such fun pieces of art. All scarves come framed and ready to hang.

If you would like to see our price list, or are interested in pre-ordering, let me know and I can send it over. I can't wait for you guys to see everything else I have in store!

In my new house the staircase is pretty much out in the open.  Given that it is such an open floor plan you will see if from wherever you are down stairs. I kind of feel the need to make some sort of statement out of it. I'm seriously dreaming about a killer graphic carpet. I generally play things safe for the sake of resale value, but I figure this is a small space to re carpet in a neutral color when the time to sell comes.

Which are you liking best? Floral, bright solid, or animal print?

She's patiently waiting for the foundation to be poured. It's not happening today Lola.
Don't worry, we are doing something about that hair 'do today.  Off to the groomers.

I am so excited to finally let you guys in on something special I have been working on.  I will be launching KRT Home, an online store selling vintage & new upholstered furniture and accessories. My emphasis will be on one-of-a-kind pieces, quality craftsmanship, and lots of pretty (obviously). We aren't set to launch for another couple of weeks, but I was just too excited to keep it a secret any longer!  Check back for a few sneak peeks of my favorite items over the next few weeks. In the meantime, if you see anything you would like to pre order or have questions about, please feel free to drop me an email.
This is miniature.  As in for a child. So cute it kills me.  Larger sizes also available.

Vintage scarves make the best wall art.

Pretty vintage finds make everything better.

Off to shoot a few more things for the site.  I'd love to know what you want to see in the shop!  Art? Vintage accessories? Pretty chairs? Sofa's?

And here she is ladies and gentlemen!  The new casa de Theodossis. We are so excited to be able see our home be built from the very beginning.
I'll be honest, I'm not crazy about my exterior elevation.  I really wanted the farmhouse, but the better location won, and this is what I ended up with.  They are calling it  Western Ranch Heritage. It's a bit different than what I am typically drawn to, but I think I can make it work.

The floorplan is very different from my last home, in that it is very open concept.  No more formals, which means I'm losing some of my furniture, but I'm loving the feel of a large open space. Keep in mind that these pictures are from the model home and the finishes will look very different.  Everything from the flooring to the cabinets, and obviously the furniture.

This is what you see when you first enter the home.
This is just to the right of the entryway.

So here is the one problem with the floorplan. This wall is where the TV is supposed to go. Yes, that door opens right into it, and it's right in the path of the staircase. I am not one to let the TV get in the way of good design, so I am sure I will figure something out, but I thought I should get your input. Where would you put it?
1.On this wall
2. On a low piece of furniture in front of one of the windows that the sectional is now up against
3. Either to the right or left of the center window that the sectional backs up against. The wall that directly faces the kitchen. (refer to floor plan).

On the day we bought we already had to make structural upgrade decisions.  We added the fourth bedroom/bathroom. Oh, and these doors are happening. Hello gorgeous.

On my husband and I's day off this week we decided to check out a few other model homes in hopes of getting some inspiration for flooring and landscaping. While we did see a few things we liked, the thing that really took the cake was this beauty.  My inner 5 year old just about died. This would have been a dream when I was a little girl. When I have a little girl of my own a ridiculous playhouse will be a must. And if she's lucky I'll let her play in it too. Just kidding. Kinda.
