Can anyone else relate to this quote? I know I totes can.  My style is so all over the place, one day I'm a business woman, the next I'm a boho princess.  But isn't that the fun of self expression?

Since buying our house I feel like my style has taken the back seat to our home.  All our money has been spent on flowers and furniture that I seriously can not remember the last time I bought something for myself.  This summer that needs to change.

I want to be like these girls.  Effortlessly boho cool.

Oh, and this is totes happening to my hair.  This rats nest that is now near my lower back and overpowering my entire face is being chopped off for a messy extra long bob. Can't decide if I want to go ombre or not.

Anyone else feel the need to mix things up with the change of seasons?

  1. I don't want to mix things up because I finally figured myself out! That's not to say I don't want to continually add to my collection ;) I can see this working so well for you! And there is nothing better than a boho summer!

  2. that haircut is too cute - can't wait to see it on you. i get in ruts since i wear business-y clothes during the week, so i feel like i have nothing to wear on the weekends. i especially want to get some cute summery dresses soon. i'm going to a bridal shower on saturday and i already know i have no dresses i want to wear.

  3. I have been feeling the exact same for about a month - totally with you!

  4. I totally know what you mean. When we first moved into our apartment I spent everything on decor! Now that the house is almost done (although never really done) I feel like I can splurge on clothes instead.

AND YES. I'm loving short hair right now... Liz from Sequins & Strips and Julia from Gal Meets Glam both just cut their hair and it looks super cute. I think you should definitely do a very light natural ombre too. Such a pretty sunkissed look.

Love this boho look you seem to be channeling
Can't wait to see the new do

  6. Oh yes indeedy I can relate. Yup I need to change things up with more dresses, blouses and trousers and sheer flowy fabrics.

  7. These could not be wiser words!!! And that, my friend, is what we call style - NOT fashion, but s-t-y-l-e!!! I feel strongly that a girl should never ever subscribe to one look...explore that self expression and you will always be stylish (never a fashion faux pas!) ...Feeling cheeky tonight, can't you tell ;) XO Brynn
