I always wanted to do one of those monthly instagram photo a day challenges. You know, the ones where you are given a different subject everyday to photograph? Well I've started a few, just never completed one. So what the logical thing for an Insta photo failure to do? Commit to a year long photo challenge. I'm an overachiever like that. Well..on January 1st I am.
I usually lose interest in these challenges once I'm given a subject to photograph that I'm just not interested in. So here is the challenge I've created for myself:
1 photo everyday
Must be of my home
I figure this is an opportunity to become better at styling, improve my insta skills, and appreciate the little things in my home rather than just big renovations. It will also give you guys an opportunity to see parts of my home that have not been featured yet on my blog. You know, like the entire second level.

I always mean to do these too but end up forgetting a few days later! I think I may find a month to do an outfit a day :) Especially in the cold winter months, it may give me some more inspiration to be more creative with my outfits haha.

ReplyDeleteYOU CAN DO IT!! I totally tried to do this a while back when my fiance and I moved into our apartment together. I thought it would be a fun way to document our first year of living together. I made a rule, similar to what you're doing- they had to be daily, and they had to be in our apartment. unfortunately, while I got into the 100's...I didn't end up finishing. so, I'm going to live vicariously through your 365 challenge!! you can totally do it!!

ReplyDeleteI think photo challenges are so wonderful because they kind of force us to take a closer look at everything around us (and if it's worth photographing!) :)
ReplyDeletelove this idea! i know it's already a few days into the year (oops) but i'm going to attempt to take a photo a day and maybe do a weekend post with a roundup of the photos. i think i'll probably just keep it open to photos of anything so i'm more likely to stick to it... and hopefully it doesn't just end up being 365 pics of my dogs!! (but i wouldn't totally be opposed to that...) excited to see your pics!
