So as I sat there feeling completely drained of creativity, I came up with the perfect solution;  A round up of all my favorite posts of 2012!  What better way to appreciate the year that is coming to a close, and be inspired with ideas to to try and carry into 2013?

How amazing were these shoes that Sketch 42 and The Man Repeller came up with?!  Not sure I'd have the guts to diy on a pair of Louboutins, but I love that they are so fearless in their art!

I am seriously obsessed with Albertina from Mimosa Lane's take on this Mongolian Lamb Stool.  This DIY originally showed up on Preciously Me and was fabulous as well.  I'm just kind of a sucker for the gold leafing Albertina did to the legs!

You will be shocked when you see the before of this ottoman. Tiffany is always amazing me with her super affordable diy's. The Greek pattern she used just makes it that much better.

This DIY is so adorable that it hurts.  Seriously wish I would have seen this before I boxed my veil!  Brooke is always posting new diys that blow my mind.  The woman recovered all of her couch cushions herself! Let's not get too crazy, no way I'd attempt something that big, but she has def inspired me to step outside of my diy box.

Hannah from Champagne Lifestyle on a Beer Budget is always posting great, affordable, and chic diys. This craigslist find looked completely different before Hannah got her hands on it. If you are looking to reupholster a piece of furniture she breaks down exactly how she did it.

Talk about some serious DIY skill. I haven't crossed over into the world of jig saws and powertools yet, but as soon as I do, this is happening. The girls at a Beautiful Mess seriously impress me with their DIY's on the regular.  Like, they must have creativity spewing out of their pores.

Hands down my favorite DIY that I attempted this year was Lola's doggie fort.  The best part?!  She seriously loves it.  Must show you guys a more recent pic.  Lola got all diva on me and added some seriously chic accessories.

I just made these for my holiday soiree and they were such a hit!  Seriously wish I would have made more. Love Alison's take on them, making them look more like shortbread macaroons.  No room for cheesy cookie cut shapes up in here. Heart of Gold and Luxury is more than just recipes so hop on over.

Seriously, a homemade Twinkie?  Does it get any more dangerous than that?!  Def a recipe I'll be trying in the new year.  After I drop a few of those New Years Resolution pounds of course! Holly has a whole lot more than recipes check out Glamour Mash for a ton of daily inspiration.

Hands down fav reveal this year is from Christine at Bijou and Boheme. It hurts so good and is everything I wish I could be.  The perfect dose of pretty.

One of my all time favorite spaces got a revamp this year by the amazing Emily Henderson. This is the home of Joy Cho of Oh Joy, Emily originally decorated the space, but a year and half later it needed to become more kid friendly.  If you ask me the kid friendly version is way better!   Both blogs need to be a daily read. Seriously.

Does this vintage Louis not just make you want to die. Seriously my favorite furniture reveal ever.  So freakin jealous.   HRH Collection is one of my all time favorite fashion reads. Alex's gorg downtown loft and bag collection is enough to make you hate her. Or want to be her.

I want to be real life friends with Erin from Holtwood Hipster just so I can get an invite to next years Labor Day weekend Shin Dig. I mean nothing say's Summer time in California like a giant movie screen above the pool, adult only capri suns, and a pizza bar. Ugghhh just remembered why summer is my favorite season.
This year for my sisters 22nd birthday I wanted to help put together something a little bit special.  This wasn't a full blown fancy soiree, but a handmade, at home birthday party.  Sometimes casual days in the sun with good 'ol Orange Crush in hand is the perfect recipe.
A girl who understands a pink and navy Christmas is a girl after my own heart. Did Emily nail this look or what?  Seriously obsessed with every detail of this party.

Last but not least is my Holiday Housewarming Soiree.  I purposely chose decoration that gave a nod to the holiday season, but didn't SCREAM Christmas!  Nearly everything will be used again for future parties in our casa.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            OVER and OUT for 2012.

Lets be honest,  know one really wants to hear about gift guides and shopping right after Christmas BUT how many of us are headed to someones house for NYE? It takes a lot of time and money to  throw that fabulous soiree so what better way to say thanks than with a little somethin somethin for the hostess with the mostess? Here are a few easy and affordable things to come up with last minute.  Take advantage of some after christmas sales and get that gift you wished someone would have picked up for you!

HELLO!  Does everyone realize that the Neiman/Target collab is now 50% off?! I've had my eye on these since day one!  The matching shaker just makes it all the better.  (Thanks Hannah for the heads up!)

I've kind of had a crush on  these fabulous napkins from West Elm for a while now.  You can even have them monogramed!  Grab them while they are on sale!

It is always appropriate to bring some sort of booze to the festivity and for NYE a little bit of Champs is a must.  We served these Sofia Champagne in a can with a straw at our Holiday Party and they were beyond a hit!  Don't be typical, bring something a little bit fun.  These are the life of the party.

Want to DIY something special?  Try monograming with my DIY etching tutorial here.  Think outside the box, anything glass can be etched!

Do you have a go to hostess gift? How will you be spending NYE?

Can you believe Christmas has come and gone?!  I don't know about you but every year right about this time I get a little post Christmas blues.  I think there is such a build up to the day, and this year there was such a build up to our holiday party, that now I feel like, "Now what?".  I need something to inspire me.  I need something to work toward.  From here you'll find me on Pinterest trying desperately to fuel my creativity.

NYE is on the horizon and I am excited about that. There is something so refreshing about a new year filled with new opportunities, new goals, and a new chance at changing the things you are not happy with today.  I'll be ringing in new year at a fabulous party and dressing in some fabulous sparkles that I received for Christmas. What are your plans? Anyone else feeling a lack of creativity lately?  Where do you go to recharge when you are feeling this way?

Merry Christmas lovelies! Last night was my holiday soiree and I'm so excited to show you the pictures.  It was great to get everyone together and spend some quality time, and the perfect jump start to the next few days holiday festivities.  Nothing about this party is incredibly Christmas-y I actually thought it could be great inspiration for a NYE event.  I'd love to know what you think.

Ho Ho Ho! Ho. Get it?  Can't take the credit, I jacked it from Emily Henderson's party.
Canned Sofia champagne with a straw was a hit. So was the white sangria.

Wishing you lots of peace, love and joy this Christmas.  Anyone having a fabulous NYE soiree?

So it's starting to look like a party up in here.  Tons of soiree prep is going on today. I know many of you are gone for the holiday, but I will be back in the next few days to post photos of all the details.  Hopefully some of you guys will still be around :)

My holiday housewarming is just a few days away and I have one thing checked off my list! My mantel!  Last week I posted about a bunch of diys I was working on.  The star, pom pom garland, and spray painted gold logs where all done by yours truly.

I just entered my mantel in Emily Henderson's Holiday Mantel decorating contest.  Please take a moment to vote for my mantel :)

One of my favorite things about holiday parties is the White Elephant game! If you haven't played, well you def should. It's basically a game where everyone brings a random gift of the same value, each person fights for the good ones, tries to pass the bad ones off to someone else, and everyone goes home with a gift.  A breakdown of the rules can be found here.

Yesterday I went to Urban Outfitters and lets just say, they should be called the White Elephant headquarters this time of year.  SERIOUSLY soooooo many random gifts that would work great for White Elephant! Here is a breakdown of a ton of great options for all different price ranges:
