Valentine's Day Gift Guide for her

With Valentine's Day around the corner I pulled together some of my favorite gift ideas for that special lady. As much as I would love a new pair of Louboutins, I'm pretty traditional when it comes to V-day and like to stick with the basics: Flowers, Chocolate, and Jewelry.

There's nothing that makes me smile more than a giant bundle of Peonies. They may be hard to find and cost more that the typical red roses but they are my absolute fav.

Okay so I know these aren't chocolates, but step it up this year with these luxurious macaroons from Bottega Louie. The colors and packaging are reason enough for me :)

Ring Holder:

If you are married or engaged that beautiful rock deserves an equally beautiful place to rest. Having a ring holder next to your sink in the bathroom is so convenient and looks pretty too.
This affordable option can be found at Urban Outfitters for only $8.00!

If you have a little extra cash to spend, step it up a notch with this Crystal Wedgewood ring holder. This is an a heirloom piece to keep forever and costs less than $100.

You can never go wrong with jewelry. It's a Valentine favorite.
These bangles are a Bendel's classic. With so many options from plain silver to multi colored there is one sure to be perfect for that special girl. They are totally affordable too ranging from $48- $200.

If you really want to pull out all the stops this year there is nothing above the Cartier Love bracelet. A true classic, this piece will last a lifetime. (Cartier call for pricing)

W Mag: Best performances

Being a film student, this time of year is all about the movies. With award season among us I have so many movies I need to get through.

Movies I've seen:
Social Network
The Company Men
Rabbit Hole
Mother and Child
Blue Valentine

Movies I want to see:
King's Speech
The Kids are all right
Black Swan
The Fighter

In class today I stumbled upon this spread in W magazine featuring some of the best performances of the year. These were some of my favorites.

Missing in Action

This week was my first week back at school and boy is this semester going to be INSANE! I haven't had time to post but I promise a Valentines Day gift guide in the next few days!

All my shopping money for the next few months was spent on a new MacBook Pro and editing software for school, so instead of a new outfit of the day, I leave you with a few photobooth uploads :)

I've officially Gradutated from Tiffany's

When we first got together Tiffany and Co. was Bobby's go to place to get me gifts. Now that we are married, he certainly stepped it up a notch with my very first piece of Cartier Jewelry! I got the XS Trinity ring this year for Christmas. I love that it is made of rose, white, and yellow gold so it really does go with everything. The beautiful packaging, above and beyond customer service, and free engraving helped make this gift one of my favorites to date :)

Honestly what could be more glamorous.................

Kate Spade Karolina

I've always loved the look of the Kate Spade Karolina. The shoe itself is so classic and simple and since my wedding shoes were Kate Spade I know they are super comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised while shopping the other day at the new colors available in this classic staple. I was set on a pair of Simple nude Louboutins but after seeing these I could buy two of them for the same price. I'll take the nude and red heel.

What's your favorite?

Golden Globes 2011

the Neutral carpet

Neutrals seemed to be a trend on the red carpet yesterday. Some looks good, some bad, but all having one scheme in common.

Looks of Note

It's so refreshing to see Ms. Jolie in something other than her signature black! This dress is very Angelina with a little bit of sparkle and punch.

Simple. Elegant. Sophisticated. Loves it.

Okay, I'm a sucker for sparkle so this dress automatically scores points. It's the epitome of princess chic but without being cheesy. I know some will disagree but I feel the understated hair grounds the look keeping it from being over the top tacky princess.

What was your favorite look of the night? My #1 goes out to Ms. Hathaway in Giorgio Armani Prive. The shoulders, the detail, the back...... *Swoon*

Sometimes a night on the town is just what you need. Saturday night was spent celebrating a friends birthday in downtown LA. Bottega Louie for dinner (my fav restaurant), and we ended the night at a Whisky Bar called 7Grand. Fun times.
