It was a Very Merry Christmas

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Mine was great, filled with family, lots of food, and lots of presents :) I'm so excited to be able to start new Christmas traditions with my little family.

My parents got me this blue patent leather Marc Jacobs crossbody. The color is so much more amazing in person. I can't wait to show you better pictures of it in my New Years Eve Outfit of the day coming next week.



My Husband spoiled me this year with the Cartier XS Trinity ring. It's being engraved at the moment, but can't wait to do a reveal once I have it on my finger :)

My first OOTD.... Shopping in your own closet

Don't you love when you find something in your closet you forgot you had? Kind of like when you find a $20 bill in your pocket that you didn't know was there.

Well all season I have been on the hunt for the perfect faux fur vest or jacket. Everything I saw was either to0 cheapy, too itchy or didn't fit right. The other day as I was ripping my closet apart in effort not to spend my christmas shopping money on a new outfit, I found this old beauty.

A few years ago, when faux fur wasn't even in, I bought this coat to wear for New Years. I bought it from Forever 21 for less then $40. I literally wore it once and put it to the back of my closet. I layered it with a long white undershirt , a pink sparkly Silence & Niose shirt from Urban Outfitters, leggings, and my Frye boots. Just like that, I had a whole new outfit I didn't even realize I had.

I acessorized it with my Michele watch and a black scarf. Sometimes shopping in your own closet is just as satisfying as the real thing. For 2011 I vow to rotate my clothes and wear everything I have!

Santa Came Early

I came home from a Christmas party last night to see an early gift under my tree. I have been dying for a Moroccan pouf for a while now and after going to the Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Couture store last week, I think my mom got the hint. I love collecting investment pieces for our home that I know our little family will have for years to come.


Not sure where to place it just yet.....

Shabby Chic Christmas

Last week I attended the Shabby Chic holiday stocking decorating event at the Shabby Chic store in Santa Monica. Every time I step foot in that store I leave wanting to completely redo my house.


We were greeted upon arrival with our choice of stockings.




We were supplied with endless options for decorating our stockings. Everything from stamps, to trimmings to flowers and tags.

Gift Guide: Husband

I really like shopping for my husband. Throughout the year he doesn't really splurge on things for himself, so when it comes time to buying his gifts I like to spend money on staple pieces that he will have forever, but normally wouldn't buy for himself.

Affordable Finds


I think I have heard the song "Little Lion Man" a hundred times. He is obsessed. Bobby would love to have the entire CD and at only $9.99 at Target it's a no-brainer.


Bobby isn't a gamer. Ask him about WOW or Halo and he doesn't have a clue. Super Mario Bros is a different story. He's old school like that. I love that you can now play this classic game on your Wii. ($45, Target)



I love getting new calendars for Christmas. There is something refreshing and inspiring about starting a new calendar, for a new year filled with new opportunities. This one would be great in Bobby's office seeing as he loves to travel. (Anthropologie, $21)



A classic Polo always looks sleek. Lacoste is one of my favorites. With an array of colors these are always a safe bet when gift giving. ( Lacoste, $80)


Fragrance is always a good gift to give your significant other. Last year I bought Bobby John Varvatos Artisan. I LOVE the way it smells and the bottle is pretty chic as well. ( John Varvatos Artisan, $58-$78)

Big Spender



Every guy needs a nice pair of Black and Brown leather shoes. These are next on my list of shoes to buy Bobby. I feel like they are not too dressy, yet still stylish and classy. (John Varvatos USA, $198)


While Bobby isn't a techie by a long shot, he still likes to feel like he has the latest and greatest. The ipad is great because it is super user friendly and easy to use and also one of the hottest must have apple products of the moment. (Apple, $499)
When Bobby told me he wanted nice sunglasses this year for Christmas I knew they had to be Persols. Persol is a sunglass company, so they make them really well. They are polarized and have bendable sides, so they are more than just stylish. (Persol, $235)



You really can't go wrong with tickets. Every guy has a favorite sports team or band, so be the best wife ever and get him some tickets. Unfortunatley my hubby likes some of the most expensive tickets around! ( Lakers tickets, starting at $150)

Whether it be for school or work, every man with style needs a classy man bag. I found this black Leather Durango at Kenneth Cole for $198.
